Jelang Tahun Baru 2010

Sebanyak tiga aksi unjuk rasa akan dilaksanakan di wilayah Jakarta Pusat, Kamis, yang bertepatan dengan hari terakhir pada tahun 2009 dan menjelang pergantian tahun menuju Tahun Baru 2010.

Menurut informasi dari Traffic Management Center (TMC) Polda Metro Jaya di Jakarta, Kamis pagi, ketiga aksi tersebut akan digelar di ruas Jalan MH Thamrin dan kawasan Medan Merdeka.

Aksi pertama diagendakan berlangsung di Bundaran Patung Kuda di depan Gedung Indosat antara Jalan MH Thamrin dan Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat pada pukul 10.00 WIB hingga pukul 14.00 WIB.

Selanjutnya, unjuk rasa kedua dijadwalkan terjadi di Bundaran Hotel Indonesia di Jalan MH Thamrin pada sekitar pukul 11.00 WIB.

Kemudian, aksi demonstrasi ketiga rencananya dilakukan di depan Istana Merdeka di Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, sejak pukul 16.00 WIB hingga pukul 17.00 WIB. (more…)

Gurita Cikeas Menghilang

Setelah ramai diberitakan, buku Membongkar Gurita Cikeas: Di Balik Skandal Bank Century karya George Junus Aditjondro, ramai diburu masyarakat. Namun, kini buku tersebut sulit didapat di toko-toko buku. Bahkan, di Yogyakarta, tempat buku ini dicetak, mendapatkan buku Gurita Cikeas bukan perkara mudah.

Seperti di pusat penjualan buku di kawasan Shoping Center, Yogyakarta, banyak warga yang mencari buku ini. Namun, mereka harus kecewa karena puluhan toko buku yang ada di sini tak satu pun yang menjual buku bergambar sampul gurita mamakai mahkota raja itu. (more…)

Laman Info dan Berita di India Laris Manis

Ngobrol Seputar Bisnis Online layanan berita di media internet (online news) di India mengalami prospek yang cerah. Buktinya, terjadi peningkatan signifikan jumlah konsumen berita online di Negeri Taj Mahal itu.

Demikian menurut hasil survei comScore, Senin 14 Desember 2009. comScore mengkhususkan diri mensurvei bisnis online, termasuk layanan penyedia berita dan informasi.

“Jumlah konsumen berita dan informasi online di India meningkat 37 persen dari tahun lalu. Ini lebih dari dua kali lipat dari pertumbuhan jumlah pengunjung online secara keseluruhan,” kata Will Hodgman, wakil presiden comScore untuk kawasan Asia-Pasifik dalam laman resmi.

Survei menunjukkan bahwa Oktober lalu jumlah pengunjung laman-laman penyedia informasi dan berita di India naik menjadi 15,8 juta, atau meningkat 37 persen dari bulan yang sama tahun lalu. Jumlah pengunjung berusia 15 tahun ke atas dan mewakili 44 persen dari populasi online di India. (more…)

Aside from the acknowledgements made by people during this day, another highlight of most Thanksgiving celebrations is actually the dinner you are to have during the gathering.

It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the deliciously roasted and seasoned turkey at the center of the table. It’s been a tradition for years and years to have turkey as dinner’s main dish every Thanksgiving that some even call the special holiday “Turkey day.”

Everyone appreciates good food, even the corporate can agree to that. There’s actually a lot to choose from when it comes to food given as gifts for Thanksgiving. There’s a wide variety to choose from. The most popular we have is the traditional turkey. Either smoke or roasted both are equally delicious.

There’s also ham, smoked or however you want it, which is ideally given along with deliciously homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies, corn, or breads.

If you don’t like going to your local markets, you can also order food to be delivered as gifts from the internet. You might even find a wider variety online. But before purchasing it’s best to read the buyer’s feedbacks on that item you are planning on buying first.

Items should have reasonable or fair prices and the quality should be in accordance with standards. If you’re not sure about certain things, play safe. A trusted company will always have a lot of positive feedbacks.
